Description: The project “StoryTeller – Empowerment of persons under risk of exclusion through development of storytelling professional training in under-equipped EU countries” addresses the professional field of storytelling, which has been recognized as a very useful and highly effective approach when dealing with vulnerable groups aiming at empowering them to believe, talk about and create new life stories, based on the goals, aims and desires they have in life. In this sense, storytelling today is recognized not only as useful, but as more and more present approach used in a variety of social, educational and work environments.
The project draws on knowledge from previously successful project “Raising Strong and Resilient Communities, where different approaches, theories and methods of storytelling stood out as a highly effective and efficient way of working with vulnerable communities. The international consortium of project partners is going beyond these findings by examine the field of storytelling profession throughout different European countries and develop a new C-VET training in storytelling.
