Project Title:  Motivation and Empowerment App /ME APP

Programme/financer: Erasmus+, KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education – Nationale Agentur Bildung für Europa beim Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung

The project addresses the priority of improving the availability of high quality, flexible and recognised learning for adults by developing, piloting and disseminating an inclusive and environmentally friendly digital tool – the ME-App – that takes into account the diverse needs and backgrounds of unemployed adults, in particular also of vulnerable groups, and contributes to building and enhancing their digital competencies in relation to the acquisition of life skills.

It addresses an unmet need for support structures for unemployed adults that DATEY and the other partnering adult education organisations have been noticing continuously in their Active Labour Market Policy programmes (ALMP-Ps), which are programmes that provide job orientation, activation and motivation for adult unemployed. This need extends strongly to tackling the many psycho-social obstacles to employment that unemployed adults typically have. These obstacles can include e.g. mental and/or physical health problems related to issues such as mood, stress management,

addiction, exercise, nutrition, sleep, medication usage or leisure activities.

The main aim of the project is to develop Motivation & Empowerment App (“ME-App”) for

unemployed adults. The ME-App would allow users to self-monitor their progress in tackling psycho-social obstacles to employment (empowerment) and stay motivated (motivation) during and after their involvement in ALMP-Ps.
